The Nippon Foundation Spogomi World Cup is a team-based competition where participants collect and sort litter within a designated area and time frame. Teams of three compete to gather as much trash as possible within one hour, followed by 20 minutes for sorting. Points are awarded based on the amount and type of trash collected, turning environmental action into a fun and impactful experience
Malaysia has embraced Spogomi, integrating it into local communities and schools. Events like the Mini Spogomi at Bukit Jambul High School and the Borneo Regionals in Miri, Sarawak, have engaged participants in competitive waste collection challenges aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
The Nippon Foundation Spogomi World Cup 2025 Malaysia Stage is a proud initiative under Brewspark Technologies Group’s ESG and SDG commitments, dedicated to creating a cleaner, greener, and better Malaysia.
The upcoming National Finals are scheduled for May 24, 2025, at the City Stadium in George Town, Penang. Winners will represent Malaysia at the Spogomi World Cup in Tokyo, Japan.
